Job Brief:
vSplash Techlabs is seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Support Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad. As a System & Network Administrator, you will be responsible for various tasks related to Active Directory, Sophos, asset management, and firewall configuration. The ideal candidate should have 2 to 4 years of experience in the field and possess strong technical knowledge in these areas.
Responsibilities:
- Active Directory Management: Maintain and administer Active Directory infrastructure, including user and group management, security permissions, and troubleshooting issues related to directory services.
- Sophos Endpoint Security: Configure, deploy, and manage Sophos endpoint security solutions to protect the organization's systems and data from potential threats and malware.
- Asset Management: Oversee the tracking, monitoring, and maintenance of IT assets, including hardware and software inventory. Develop and implement asset management procedures and best practices.
- Firewall Configuration: Assist in configuring and managing firewalls to ensure network security. Collaborate with network administrators to identify and resolve firewall-related issues and optimize network performance.
- User Support: Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, resolving hardware and software problems and answering technical queries. Respond to IT support tickets and escalate complex issues as needed.
- Documentation and SOPs: Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation for IT processes and configurations. Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation is maintained for reference and knowledge sharing.
- Security Management: Strictly conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments. Ensure compliance with security standards. Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and regulatory requirements.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and share workflow tasks/ticket details on a weekly basis. Knowledge sharing/transfer sessions while shifting work from one internal team to another. Maintain all documents in a professional manner.
- Ticketing Tool: Respond to user issues within defined SLA (Service Level Agreement) timelines. Maintain accurate documentation of troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and updates in the ticketing system. Communicate regularly with end users and Team Leads regarding ticket status, progress, and resolution. Ensure proper ticket closure with documented resolution and user confirmation.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in IT support or a related role, preferably in an enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory administration, including user and group management, security permissions, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Sophos endpoint security solutions, including deployment and management.
- Experience with asset management practices, including inventory tracking and maintenance.
- Proficiency in firewall configuration and understanding of network security principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and end-users.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and SOPs.
